Starting Feyer

A European frontier AI lab for automated physical invention.

Feyer

What if the next generation of high-tech devices is invented by machines?

For centuries, physical technology has advanced through human intuition, experience, and slow iteration. That process has given us extraordinary progress. But it has also become one of our main bottlenecks. Many of the most important future technologies live in design spaces too vast and unintuitive for humans to explore alone.

That is why we are starting Feyer: to spark a new era of innovation in the heart of Europe.

Feyer is building discovery machines for physical technology. We tightly fuse AI-based exploration with differentiable physics simulators to enable autonomous, scalable exploration of vast hardware design spaces.

This is different from today's dominant AI paradigms: Foundation models interpolate human data and inherit its ceiling, with no native grasp of physical truth. Feyer leaps to a new S-curve: Instead of learning from a human corpus, our neural explorer learns from differentiable physics simulators, acting natively in the space of physical devices. It is not a surrogate or a tool-using LLM but a new model class whose limit is the laws of physics.

We are starting Feyer with a focus on precision instrumentation, photonics, and quantum hardware: fields where better designs can unlock new measurement capabilities and lead to entirely new technological paradigms.

We spent over a decade proving that machines can discover surprising, useful, and previously unknown physics experiments. Feyer is our path to turn that academic leadership into a European frontier AI lab for automated physical invention.

We are looking for exceptional researchers, engineers, partners, and investors who want to build this with us.
